2026 servo entomoid, hybrid flapping plus balanced propeller.

2026-06-23 — Entomoid Servo Ornithopter Maidenflight 22.06.26 — This is servo driven entomoid is another new type aircraft that uses a flapping for pulse like propulsion and more a hybrid of a flapping wing and a balanced propeller. The best of both worlds. Despite the unfavourable windy condition and the underpowered large prototype it was able to climb and manoeuvre very controlled. I made many sketches of different entomoids for deciding to try this one. My hope is that the large area allows it to carry an extra FPV camera , which is suitable to its very calm balanced flapping. The aircraft has a lot of inertia and is underpowered but it has always good control authority on yaw, roll and pitch, because the surfaces are angled in such a way that asymmetric deflection results in roll movement of the aircraft for example.
